With more than 15 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, international trade and the major public policy issues, Jean Michel Laurin brings a keen understanding of the economic and regulatory environment. He draws on this expertise to assist our clients with their requests to industry clusters, elected officials and government bodies, such as by helping drafting strategic communications like specialized briefs with considerable depth of analysis.
Prior to joining Octane Strategies, he was Vice President, Global Business Policy for Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters where he established himself as a credible advocate and spokesperson for Canadian industry.
Jean-Michel holds an MBA from HEC Montréal and a BA in Political Science and Economics from McGill University. He is the outgoing Chair of RESULTS Canada and a Director of the Trade Facilitation Office of Canada, an organization that promotes sustainable economic development through trade with Canada.
